June 10, 2020. The Pictou County Weeks Jr A Crushers would like to announce that Glen Campbell has accepted the role of Governor for the Hockey Club and will be the team’s representative on the MHL Board of Governors.
Glen graduated from Breton Education Centre and went on to attend Dalhousie University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree. He then continued his education at Dalhousie University and obtained his law degree in 1997.
Campbell, who currently resides in New Waterford, NS is the youngest of 12 children and his family is known throughout the Cape Breton and Nova Scotia hockey circles. Campbell played and coached hockey during his life and his and his family’s love and passion for hockey runs deep. The Campbell family has a deep history with the CHL and the Junior A loop with his brother Bruce Campbell winning the Chapstick award as the top Junior A player in Canada in 1980. The Crushers organization feel Campbell’s professional experience coupled with his understanding and knowledge of hockey will make him an asset to the Crushers and the Maritime Hockey League as a whole. Campbell looks forward to becoming a part of the Crushers family and helping them continue to build championship teams and a winning culture in Pictou County.
